Josh Collett serves as Vice President for International Affairs at AARP. He leads the Office of International Affairs which is focused on informing domestic policy discussion with international best practices and policies for issues related to health and economic security. He also works to raise AARP's profile internationally and place issues of interest to the Association on the international agenda by sponsoring and participating in international social and economic policy debates worldwide.
Josh managed the successful European Leadership Study, a fact-finding mission by AARP's Board of Directors and Executive Team to Europe in June 2006 to examine leading policies and delivery approaches in health and long-term care. He has organized other major events, including international conferences on health information technology and pharmaceutical policy.
Prior to joining AARP, Josh worked at the Embassy of Australia in Washington, the Council of the Americas, the United States Senate and CBS News. Originally from New York, Josh is a graduate of Haverford College in Pennsylvania and holds a Master of Public Affairs Degree from The Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas.
